Select the images, right-click, and get one looping .gif back — no recording, no separate GIF tool to open.
A quick looping GIF is often all a demo needs — lighter than a captioned video, and it plays inline anywhere without a video player. Making one usually still means a screen recorder or a separate GIF-editing site, for images that are already sitting in a folder.
The GIF Maker plugin skips both. Select the images in Filer, in the order they should play, right-click, and Combine into GIF... — behind that menu item is the same configured model that answers chat, deciding to call the actual GIF-combining tool on your behalf.

Needs: the GIF Maker plugin installed and a Chat AI configured (local or remote) — the right-click action is itself a prompt handed to your configured model, which is the one that decides to call the tool.
Multi-select the images in the order you want them to play, right-click, and open Actions → Combine into GIF...

The dialog asks how long each frame stays on screen and whether the GIF loops forever or plays once — both have a sensible default. Sending it hands those settings and the image list to your configured model as a prompt.
The model reads the prompt, calls the actual GIF-combining tool with the images and settings, and the images play back to back, saved as a new file right next to the sources.

Typed in chat, no right-click — since the menu item is already just a prompt to the model, asking a folder's agent in chat to "combine these four images into a GIF" reaches the exact same tool call directly, no image selection needed first.
On a schedule or a file event — the same tool call works from a scheduled or file-triggered agent: a folder that watches for new screenshots could refresh a status GIF on its own each time one lands.
